Ranak Martin is an award-winning visual storyteller with over 15 years of experience in photography, videography, writing, and editing. He has reported on major global news stories for The Guardian, The Sunday Times (UK), Getty Images, and various NGOs in the U.S. and South Asia.

 

Beginning his career as a feature photographer at The Daily Star, Ranak later worked as a multimedia journalist for DrikNews and served as a Communication Specialist for the United Nations World Food Programme. He has collaborated with organizations such as Human Rights Watch, UNICEF, and World Press Photo.

I was honored to receive a scholarship from the U.S. Department of State, which enabled me to pursue my studies in new media and journalism at the University of Washington in Seattle.
